Ronovan's Haiku prompts for this week are quick and slip. With the children in mind, I offer my poem.
by Gwendolyn M Plano We didn't know them, the children who died in Coral Springs, Florida. But, through our tears, we found them. One by one, we met Alyssa, Martin, Jamie, Gina and so many more as they lay lifeless on the school floors. Their friends cried out to us and showed us their faces. And now, they are strangers no more.
Ronovan's Haiku prompts for this week are quick and slip. With the children in mind, I offer my poem.

Very moving, Gwen. There are hardly any words to describe yet another tragedy, but you found the few available.

Thank you, John. So sad when young lives leave us, especially through a tragedy such as this.

Beautiful, Gwen. The horror is unspeakable and I'm grateful I never had to experience that at my high school. Peace and hugs.

The sadness is profound, for who does not understand a child's anguish. Thank you, Jan.

Thank you, Davy. Sometimes our heart leads the way because our mind cannot fathom such pain.

What a beautiful tribute to something I can't wrap my head around. I've been avoiding reading or seeing the victims-- yet. Sometimes I have no words for events such as this. Thank you for expressing it.

Thank you, Denise. It's a horrifying situation and at times like this, words can elude us. ♥
