Welcome, fellow traveler!
We may not have met, but I suspect we've traversed familiar terrain. Most of us travel long distances in search of happiness, meaning, or love. We climb the highest mountains, we trek across the deserts, and we explore the ocean's depths. We are restless until we find our heart's desire.
We craft our way through triumphs and tragedies, achievements and mistakes. And just when we imagine we are lost, we are helped by kind strangers or healers or friends. We are even assisted by those who may seem to be foes.
Perhaps we struggle with issues such as a bad relationship or the death of a loved one. Whatever our individual challenges may be, though, no one is spared the experience of sorrow, fear or regret. And so it is that we travel through life trying to make sense of it all.
This site focuses on that journey. I share my thoughts, my books and poetry, and I host guest writers. If you'd like to be a guest someday, just let me know.
Poet John O'Donohue reminds us, "When your way of belonging in the world is truthful to your nature and your dreams, your life opens up joyfully, powerfully and tenderly." My hope is that you find this site affirming of who you are. Travel mercies!
