Tomorrow...

Each week poet, Ronovan Hester sponsors a Haiku prompt challenge, and folks (like me) try to follow his lead. This week the two words are days and old. If you have interest in this poetic form, please click on his name, and you'll be guided to his website where you'll find detailed instructions.

When I read the prompt words, I thought of how time passes much too quickly. We imagine we can begin living tomorrow only to discover that tomorrow came and went weeks maybe months even years ago. How did it happen that we were so unaware? ♥

Said very well. I think youth is in the heart and can never be held hostage. Life is fleeting and your HaiKu did make me smile. :-D

Thank you, John. I'm the worst at putting off until "tomorrow," but alas, now I'm one of the elderly. It's belated, but I'm learning to live life now. ☺

Our youth does leave so quickly. I don't think i could have said this any better, Gwen and exactly how I'm feeling this month:)

Hi Gwen! You're so right! How is it Friday already? Time goes even faster when you need more of it. Great haiku!

Time goes by so fast and I am at a loss to know where the years have gone. Growing older is like a two edge sword. I so miss the family that have passed away but love the new family members as they are born. Life is complex and we just have to keep looking forward even though its hard at times. Love Julie xx

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. ―Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
