Summer Treasures and #TankaTuesday

3/28/2022

Hello blog friends! Today is Tanka Tuesday and I have a new poem to share.

Since this is the fifth Tuesday of the month, and there are only four times during the year that this occurs, author Colleen Chesebro asks that we share our day through a syllabic poem. My husband took this photo of me working in one of the raised beds. So far, the spinach, sweet peas, and broccoli are growing well. Kind of exciting, don't you agree?

My Tanka poem:
Picture
I hope you have a wonderful week. And if you have a garden, I'd love to see a picture or two or three. Here's to sunshine and a plentiful harvest! 🌞🌱🌱🌱🌞

A lovely poem, Gwen. I often wish we had a garden. There's nothing like having fresh vegetables.

That's a great picture of you, Gwen! The poem complements it so well. I don't think you'd went to see pictures of my garden right now. It's just dirt and pine needles.

Those muddied hands are key to making dreams come true.
They say, "If wishes were horses..." About the only time that might possibly help is if you're using them to fertilize your dreams. ;)

I have to wait until the middle of May (our frost free day)... before playing in the dirt - last year I had some good lettuce - maybe I can start some inside? I don't really a good inside space though.

I do have some herbs in my bay window that gets the morning sun :D
