Hello blog friends!

Today author  Colleen Chesebro  has a theme-based poetry challenge. She invited Harmony Kent to suggest the topic and it's a provocative one: The Longest Day. Maybe you'll consider joining in the fun?

My syllabic poem follows:

A footnote. . .

If you haven't seen me around this last week, it's because of computer problems. Serious ones. I'm working on my husband's old laptop right now, but I'm hoping for relief this evening. Fingers crossed! I've missed visiting many of your sites.

I hope you've had some relief from the heat. We were surprised by much needed rain last night. What a summer, right!

Sending hellos from the high desert of Arizona....

This is quite lovely, the more so because of the way in which it is presented. I hope that pesky computer will be well again soon!

What a poignant poem, Gwen. I hope you get your computer fixed. It's miserable not being online. The heat seems to be everywhere this year! We've not much rain here in Michigan, either. 💜

Oh my... Hubby had a virus blocked by our protection plan just about an hour ago!! He had gone to a link via a news station - eek.
Good luck with your PC.

Yes, we've had some rain too! But it is still muggy.

Your verse reminds me of all the widows I have known and now also know... A sad state. Some can cope better. Even when expected... loss is not easy, especially at first. A very sensitive piece 💖

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. ―Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
