Morning brew

Hello, blog friends.

I've another syllabic poem to share - a three haiku response to a painting. Writer Colleen Chesebro posted the image below by Kaoru Yamaha and invited a poetic response.

I've used several seasonal phrases such as shades of glory and swaying in the breeze to capture an early morning experience. Wouldn't it be fun to share a cup of coffee at this lovely site?
Picture
Do you have a special location where you sip and dream? I'd love to hear where that might be. One of the places I enjoy might surprise you. It's Panera Bread in Prescott, AZ. This fast-food chain is located high on a hill overlooking much of the area. The mountains and the change of seasons are particularly glorious from this elevation and always capture my imagination.

I hope you have a wonderful week and find time to revel in the morning light. ❤️

The kissing blossoms, and bouquets of coffee give this picture the exact publicity it needs to draw in a world of visitors. :) Well done, Gwen.

I would like to share a cup at that location. My favorite coffee spot is the back porch when the weather co-operates. The annual flowers and Magnolia are very peaceful and lovely.

Toasting you with my (2nd cup of) morning coffee, Gwen. Such enchanting poems. The picture proved to be great inspiration for you.
I tried to remember a "sip and dream" place to share with you, but I came up empty. I've never really felt comfortable enough when I'm out to relax doing that. But I do like the idea of it. Cheers and hugs.

That is a beautiful poem and a beautiful site. I would love to have coffee there. My wife and I often go to Neuhaus café here in Dallas. It is nice. They have coffee, desserts, breakfast, food items, candy and lots of chocolate. However, they are located in a shopping plaza so it is not very beautiful or romantic. But there are places in Breckenridge, Colorado, where we like ski, and in northern Sweden that are beautiful and have great view. However, we don't get to go very often to those.

Gwen, I love your haiku! When I saw this painting, all I could think of was how lovely it would be to write in this spot. I remember several spots in Prescott that had great views of the area. Enjoy the spring! 🌸

Gwen, bouquets of coffee in morning light sounds just right. Coffee in this place would be perfect. Imagining being in my bath robe and fuzzy slippers at one of the tables.

My favorite spot for drinking coffee is on my couch, which looks out on the day through a window and a slider. My 2 cats always join me as I sip.

Beautiful haikus, Gwen! It sounds like the most serene place. My sip and dream spot is the beach. The sound of the birds and the waves just relaxes me. :-)
