Last Night ... a #Tanka poem

It's #TANKA TUESDAY per author  Colleen Chesebro. And since today is the second Tuesday of the month, she explains that writers must use synonyms of the chosen words. Author Sally Cronin selected the words this week, and they are Eager & Hope.

My imagination first climbed a mountain with this challenge, but then it took me to the beach. I hope you enjoy my attempt and as well, I hope to see your submission. If you visit Colleen's site, you'll find loads of helpful information.

My Tanka poem ... LAST NIGHT.

Gwen, this tanka really hits the spot for me today! "Wishes hidden in stacked stones at the beach..." I can hear the gulls. So lovely and Zen. <3

So peaceful and beautiful, Gwen. I'm really missing the ocean and love the line, waves lap their blessing. I really believe the ocean offers us healing and you said that perfectly. And always a place to let our dreams take flight! xo

Thank you, dear Mae. I suspect we all could use a day at the beach, so I traveled there with this prompt. 😊

Hi,
What I like most about your poetry is the hope that you impart. This poem transmits hope from a couple who have made the choice to love.

Well said, Gwen. Beach and rocks in synergy to the memory of that kiss. (Must have been some kiss.) 😁
