Flying high...

Each week, author Suzanne Burke invites readers to use her photo prompt to write a poem or tell a story. Her Fiction in A Flash Challenge! is now in its 11th week. Perhaps you'd like to participate?? The image this week is a waterfall.
When I saw the photo, I imagined flying above the falls and mountains high. I felt the moist breeze and soared in the silence of the trees. My haiku...

I love your approach of seeing it all and wanting to fly:) It made me want to soar.

I watch the birds, osprey, and eagles wishing for just a moment I could fly. They flutter or flap their wings, soar high, and then gracefully land. A beautifully written Haiku.

This is a lovely poem, Gwen. I used to fly often in my dreams. I don't do that anymore. I wonder why.

Thank you, Miriam. I also used to fly in my dreams...maybe adult responsibilities got in the way. :)

Such a beautiful poem, Gwen.
We are surrounded by waterfalls (big and small) where we live.
I never, ever tire of them. How could anyone?

Thank you, Donna. How lovely it must be to live near waterfalls! The air must be especially clear. ♥

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. ―Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
