Finding hope in the earth....a poem

Hope can seem an elusive commodity these days; so it is that with this brief posting, I share some of my hope.

I am a member of the global organization of Treesisters. Quietly but powerfully, this community of women is transforming our beautiful Earth by planting trees. Simple, right? Simple and direct - something that folks like me are drawn to. Recently, the founder wrote a beautiful poem. Her question, Can you hear the wild call of Earth's beckoning? brought me into my heart and my dreams. Perhaps you will find the same.

Lovely poem that calls to all. Does pull at the feminine core in each of us. Thanks, Gwen

I so agree, John. It kind of tugs at our nurturing core...and brings us into beauty. Lovely...

Beautiful poem, Gwen with a lot of quiet power and impact behind it. It resonated even more strongly on a second read through.

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. ―Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
