This week's picture holds sadness for me. It's as if life has been stilled. Though the scene is beautiful, there is also a chilly silence. I've chosen to try to capture that feeling of isolation in a simple three-stanza haiku poem.

Thank you, Jan. I love Autumn. It's a month that quiets the soul and in this case, leaves the heart wanting. ♥

The fall always seems to bring out the feelings of loss. Your poems certainly captured those feelings. I'm sure the love will be back.

Second to spring, I like fall for the gorgeous foliage. The fall image often evokes the nostalgic feelings as it's a prelude to winter when life returns to the earth. Your poem brings out the remembrance the beauty life once had and the yearning for it to return.
