Thank you so much for having me on your blog, Gwen, and thank you for helping me launch this book. I know you are getting ready to launch your next thriller, so I am grateful you could take this time to help with the launch. Speaking of the book, let me describe it. Eternal Road is the story of two people finding their way through the selection process leading to the place where one will spend eternity. Yes, it is true. They both have passed away. James Wainwright just died in an auto accident. Samantha Tourneau died seventeen years before. Sam is James's guide to help him decide where to spend eternity. This is not your usual thriller or paranormal romance. It is a piece of fiction that is a combination of inspiration, adventure, time travel, sci-fi, a touch of erotica, and a dash of spiritual. In short it is a lot of things, but hopefully, a story that will make you happy to have read it. It is now available on Amazon in paper and Kindle. The Kindle edition is priced at 99 cents until October 15th. Below is a book blurb that explains a bit more about the story. |
“Well, let’s just say logic plays a role here. In my training, no one ever said spirits can’t get hurt. Oh, wait. Yes, spirits can end up damaged if they can’t complete their journey home.”
James frowns. “How does that happen?”
“If the Devil tempts your spirit—”
James raises his hand. “Hold on. There really is a Devil?”
“You better believe it. If the Devil tempts you, and you fall for his crap, you could be denied your home.”
“What do you mean?”
“For instance, if the Devil shows you what life would have been like without a war, and he gets you to do something that alters the future. You would have failed because of that temptation.”
“Okay, so it’s like an old paranormal movie?—Where you can’t do anything to alter the time continuum.”
“Correct. Did that help?”
James nods. “I’ll say.”
“Hey, you two. Could we talk for a moment?”
James and Sam turn around and come face-to-face with a tall, weathered-skinned man with a badge. On his hip hangs a cracked leather holster, which holds a gun. The weapon catches their attention. The man rests the base of his palm on the grip of the .44 caliber revolver. Though a smile stretches his lips, it doesn’t reach his eyes.
“Name’s Earp. Virgil Earp. I’m the marshal hereabouts, and I ask that you find a place off the street real quick.”
Sam raises her hand to her mouth, and a gleeful expression lifts her features. She clears her throat and manages to croak, “Is there any trouble, Marshal?”
Virgil appears amused with this girl feeling impressed with his position. “Five men are coming into town, and they mean no good. I intend to stop them. There may be some gunplay. I ask you to leave for your own safety. Since you seem to be strangers in town. I could put you into a cell till the trouble is over if need be, but I’d rather you move under your own will.”
