Thank you, Kathy. It's quite the year, right. I'm kinda numb to it all. 💙

Our constitution stipulates peaceful elections and (when necessary) transition of power. That's all I'm praying for at this point. Things have gotten so ugly.

Dear Gwen, you nailed this perfectly. Our hearts, minds and souls are weary as we trudge through such hatred and division in our beautiful country. Thank you for sharing. Hugs!

Thank you, dear Jan. I'm one who always tries to "fix" things, but our situation is one in which there is nothing we try to keep our own hearts open. Hugs back.

This Tanka reflects my over it attitude. I just wish it was finished and we can all in our own way forget we even have a government.

I left an "and " out between "way" and "forget." A comma would work as well.

Thank you, John. I'm with you about the government. I'm just tired of it all. I care deeply but my one vote can't "move mountains." 🙂

Perfectly said, Gwen. I pray that our country will accept the results of the election peacefully. The violence must stop.
