A #TankaTuesday Journey

3/1/2022

Hello blog friends, it's Tanka Tuesday and poet Colleen Chesebro has another prompt. This week she invites us to submit a poem featuring a shade of green. My poem is a Butterfly Cinquain with  syllables of 2-4-6-8-2-8-6-4-2.

The photo below is from Canva, but I've walked in forests just like this, and it's always a mystical experience. I've entitled this poem - Follow The Light.

Have a fantastic week! Maybe with a walk in nature? I hope you're able to. 💗

Gwen, what a stunning butterfly cinquain. You captured the quiet beauty of the forest. I'm so eager to see green this year. I think I have Spring Fever! <3

It's going to be a few months before I can follow the call of your poem into the tranquil green forest, but I can be patient for that reward. All in good time . . .

That's a soothing poem. My only greens are snow covered evergreens for a while but the woods are always good.

Hopefully the snow will lift soon. We all need the peace the evergreens bring. Thank you so much for your kind words. 😊

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way. ―Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s Search for Meaning
