Hello friends, I'm sharing a poem today. Author Colleen Chesebro invites interested writers to post a weekly response to her prompts. This week the challenge is a poet's choice - any syllabic poetry form that you’d like. I've decided to submit a simple Haiku, sparked by thoughts of lifetimes of choices.

Please join the fun. Just click on Colleen's name, and you'll be taken to her site. 💗

Hi My Dear,
Your haiku reminds me of The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. The haiku goes deep. To reach through time for me means they have found love eternal as they look back at the old worn roads they both travel. I am happy that love is their guide.
An excellent expression of friendship that moves beyond what's here.

Lovely poem, Gwen. It says so much in so few words. I agree with Harmony. You should put it in a book some day.

If Robert Frost ever wrote a love haiku, this would have been it. Lovely, Gwen.

As always, absolutely perfect, Gwen. You really do handle haiku so well! I'm envious, and far too wordy for this form of writing, but I really enjoy the way you handle it. Great job! 🤗

This beautiful haiku made me immediately think of "The Contract." Those two hearts had to find each other again with no memory from before. Thank you for sharing!

Love is the guide, I love this Gwen. Like others have commented it does remind me of a favorite poem A Road Less Traveled.

It's lovely that love led them onto the old worn roads and they continued to follow the guide. A beautiful poem, Gwen!
