A garden rainbow. . .

Hello blog friends,

It's time for a #TankaTuesday poetry challenge. This week, author Colleen Chesebro invites us to Taste the Rainbow and select a color to feature in a poem.

I've chosen to do something a little different. I've created a garden poem using a butterfly cinquain of 2-4-6-8-2-8-6-4-2 syllables. It's lighthearted, and it was fun taking photos in the garden. I hope you enjoy it.

Have a wonderful week, hopefully with not too many of these little creatures. 😊

A delightful poem and charming photos. This was a wonderful way to start my day. I no longer have my vegetable garden, but the way every sense was stimulated during those yesteryears was recalled. My flowers bring me joy and stimulate my senses.
Thank you, Gwen, and enjoy your garden.

Thank you, Jill. We have a mix of days now. Rain and cool breezes and then the hot temps in the 90s. Fall approaches! ❤️

Good timing for this post! My husband took me on a tour of our vegetable garden yesterday. Little munchers not much in evidence but end blossom rot on some of the tomatoes.

It's fun to watch the garden evolve. This is my first year for living in the high desert, and I'm learning a lot. Wishing you all the best with yours!

What fun to use photos from your garden for this poem, Gwen. I love the color you chose. The color associated with the Sacral Chakra.

Thank you, Jan. After finding the beetle, the color orange came alive for me. 😊

Was surprised this one came in within 24 hours. Terrific poem, Gwen. I would be after those munchers like a duck on a June bug. This gave me a smile

😂 . . .but it's such a pretty beetle. Yesterday I found a blue grasshopper with pink stripes on its back in my strawberries. I had a nice chat with him, but he ignored me. I simply can't hurt such a unique creature, but I might change his environment. 😊

Gwen, this is wonderful! Your garden is doing well. I love you chose orange from the sacral chakra. The butterfly cinquain is a great choice to accompany your photos. 🧡

This reminds me of fond memories of the garden with my grandmother. The tiny green snakes and rabbits were our biggest culprits. <3 A lovely poem, Gwen. Thank you for sharing.

Hi,
Today, I needed something light that could booster me into a time where there were no wars and no hatred. This little poem did that. The imagery is wonderful.

I'm amazed by the little creatures that live among the vegetables. I suppose I should spray them, but I'm kinda amused by them so we co-exist. 😊

"little munchers" made me smile. They do leave their nibble marks all over my veg. Lovely poem Gwen.
