Summer has many moods, I like the one associated with clouds and rain. You've captured it so well, Gwen.

Thank you, Balroop. In the high desert, summer is a dramatic season of extremes. Sunrise and sunset always take my breath away. 🌞

Not to be a bore. But I would skip summer for two falls. Two spring. Two winters even— Yes I would. But we know that’s not possible. 😜

You made me smile, Selma. In this locale, summer is a drama queen, but the extremes birth extraordinary early morning and evening delights. 🌞

Perfect description of the effects of summer. You made the best selection of verses and it worked beautifully.

Thank you, John. I had never heard of Best Coast before this, but the verses were easy to use. 🌞

Our summers are so short, I tend to get anxious that I'm not taking full advantage of it.

In this area, winter is very short, and summer is long. My pumpkin patch seems to love the heat -- as it spreads across the back yard. 🌞

Such a lovely poem, Gwen. I know the rain was a welcome sight and hopefully will help sustain through the coming hot months. Hugs!

I hope so too, Jan. The summer months can be extreme in this area. I suspect Texas experiences the same. 🌞

When summer starts out kicking our butts, I can only hope it shall tire of its bullying...

Wonderful description of possible feelings in the summer, Gwen. I'm past the days of saying "This ain't hot!" but summer still doesn't affect me as much as it does others.

Thank you, Tim. I grew up in an area 115' below Sea Level, and it was really hot in summers. Here, in northern AZ at 5,000' elevation, mornings and evening are always cool - and beautiful. Much better for my aging years. 🌞

Gwen adding my comment here because I couldn't find this form at the bottom, and the top of your blog looks different. WP at play again I think. Anyway...
